The CityLiving Lunch Tour takes place at the 5th & Main development next Friday, July 31st from noon to 1p.m.

RSVP here for your spot on the tour of the lofts. I’d love to go but I will be at work and I doubt the Husband wants to move out of our house anytime soon to move into a smaller space. Especially since I just redecorated our kitchen.
The 5th & Main condos look amazing though, it’s a skip and a jump from the interstate, it’s got private, covered parking, easy access to Allium and the development is just gorgeous. For more details on the residences, visit them here.

Please tell your friends to come by tomorrow. Yard Sale on Paris Avenue between 12th Avenue South and 10th Avenue South.
I, personally, am selling:
- Nicole Miller cocktail dress
- Traditional Chinese cheongsam that’s great for cocktail parties
- Heels – J-crew, Banana Republic, Nine West, BCBGirls. All worn only a few times. Size 5 1/2 or 6
- Clothes that I just can’t fit into anymore from known brands and designers and some items from high-end boutiques.
- Stainless steel flatware, a set of 4 hand blown glasses, small set of dishes and bowls
My friends are also selling clothes and shoes. There will be more household items sold, accessories, probably books and some really nice furniture. I know one of them has a ton of dresses. None of us are extremely willing to part with any of these because they’re all in such great shape but I’m trying to make room for personal reasons, and my friends just moved into a new place and are trying to reorganize and another is trying to renovate and sell their home. Anything that’s less-than-ideal in shape/quality we’re already donating to Goodwill and we’re not even going to try to sell it to you.
Come on through, we’ll be there first thing in the morning.

Inspiration
I’d love to do something like this to my walls along my upstairs hallway. Wonderful creativity from Kellie’s Scrapblog who owns Every Jot & Tittle on etsy.
Oh it would be so nice to have the time (and the ch-ching)to have all this! The wall’s probably the most realistic project right now. The Life a la Mode abode is starting to come along nicely. Come back again soon, I’ll be posting before and after pics of my kitchen/workspace!

Lightning 100 is back with another outdoor concert series! Huzzah!!!
Live on the Green kicks off on Thursday, September 3rd downtown in Public Square Plaza and the weekly shows continue through October 8th. Spurred on by our music-loving Mayor, Karl Dean, Nashville’s Independent Radio and Team Green are putting together a fall music lineup that includes Citizen Cope, Space Capone, Here Come the Mummies and other local and national artists.

For more information, keep checking back here (we at Life a la Mode are huge L100 supporters) or visit Live On The Green dot net.
UPDATE: Metromix Nashville has details!

Are you squealing like I did when I first saw this picture? That’s a Peapod – a car that charges like your iPod or cell phone does in the wall at 110 volts. It’s a-dor-a-ble!
It’s a neighborhood car, it caps at 25mph for speed and comes in three models: the Peapod (above), the Twinpod (2 seater) and the Utilitypod which has a little bed in the back like a pickup.
If it went at least 10mph faster, I’d consider one. But at the $12,500 starting price, I personally would rather buy a Smart Car which I can take on the interstate. However if you do live in a neighorhoods with nearby shops and amenities (and a low speed limit), this is a great alternative to a golf cart.
